CruxHub Terms of Use
About these Terms
These Terms of Use apply to the CruxHub (“Hub”), operated by Crux Underwriting Ltd (“Crux”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Crux Underwriting Ltd is an Appointed Representative of DA Strategy Global Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
The Hub is provided to approved brokers to access Crux products, submit risks and, where available, obtain quotations and bind cover. By accessing or using the Hub, you agree to these Terms.
Access and use
Access to the Hub is limited to users authorised by Crux and is personal to each user. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and must notify Crux promptly if you become aware of any unauthorised access.
The broker organisation is responsible for ensuring that its Hub users are appropriately authorised and for notifying Crux promptly where a user leaves, changes role or otherwise no longer requires access.
Users must comply with any security and access controls implemented by Crux in relation to the Hub. Crux may update these controls where reasonably necessary to protect the Hub, its users, systems and data.
The Hub must only be used for legitimate insurance business with Crux. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation or use it in a way that could compromise the security of Crux systems or data.
Crux may suspend or withdraw access where reasonably necessary, including for security reasons, misuse of the Hub or where a user is no longer authorised to access it.
Information, quotations and binding
You are responsible for ensuring that information and documents submitted through the Hub are accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge and that you are authorised to provide them.
Information submitted may be assessed against Crux underwriting rules. Depending on the risk, the Hub may generate a quotation, refer the risk for further underwriting consideration or decline it. Where a risk is referred, Crux approval will be required before it can proceed.
Where the Hub permits you to proceed to bind, cover will only take effect once the binding process has been completed and confirmed through the Hub, subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant insurance contract.
You are responsible for reviewing the information entered and the quotation and policy information provided before proceeding to bind. Where the Hub allows information to be amended, any change may affect the quotation, terms or availability of cover and may require further underwriting consideration.
Data protection and confidentiality
Personal data submitted through the Hub will be handled in accordance with Crux’s Privacy Notice and applicable data protection requirements.
Where you provide personal data relating to another individual, you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate basis for providing it to Crux.
Information made available through the Hub should be treated as confidential where appropriate and used only for legitimate insurance business or where otherwise permitted by law.
Monitoring and audit
Crux may record, retain and review activity within the Hub, including user access, submissions, transactions and system activity, where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, operational support, compliance, audit, regulatory requirements or dispute resolution.
Hub availability
Crux takes reasonable steps to maintain the security and availability of the Hub but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
If you are uncertain whether a quotation, amendment or binding instruction has been successfully completed, you should contact Crux before relying on it.
Intellectual property and liability
The Hub and its content, functionality and materials are owned by or licensed to Crux and may only be used for legitimate insurance business with Crux.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Crux will not be responsible for loss arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided through the Hub, unauthorised use of an account or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These Terms do not alter or replace the terms and conditions of any insurance contract arranged through the Hub.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Hub, our business or applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The latest version will be made available through the Hub.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising from use of the Hub.
